With the release of its Decarbonising Infrastructure Delivery Policy and Measurement Guidance, Infrastructure NSW (INSW) has set expectations for Government delivery agencies on managing ‘upfront carbon’ – carbon emissions generated in the production of materials and asset construction – in infrastructure delivery across NSW.

As you may be aware, currently SPV motor vehicles must demonstrate compliance with Federal Australian Design Rules (ADRs) applicable to brakes, lights and mirrors. While SPV trailers must demonstrate compliance with ADRs applicable to brakes, lights and mechanical connections. This graduated transition pathway will be accessible for SPVs until 30 June 2024.
