Special Purpose Vehicles Exceeding 40 Tonnes

The pre-publication draft of National Class 1 Vehicle Standards Exemption for Special Purpose Vehicles Exceeding 40 Tonnes Total Mass Notice 2018 has been completed and ready for a final review. The Concrete Pumping Association of Australia (CPAA) has been inviteed to comment on the draft. It includes all relevant comments provided by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Vehicle Safety (VS) reference group and peak industry bodies. The Association is seeking feedback and commment from members.

The NHVR has made avalible National Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicles Exceeding 40 Tonnes Total Mass Operator’s Guide. This document reflects the requirements of the Notice in an easy to understand guide to help operators ensure they comply with the Notice. The NHVR has requested the CPAA and its members review both of these documents to before sign off and publication on the NHVR website.
