Changes To The Queensland Code Of Practice

06-12-2019

SUMMARY

On the 2 December 2019 the Queensland Office of Industrial Relations (QOiR), Work Health and Safety Queensland “Concrete Pumping Code of Practice 2019” came into effect.

The Concrete Pumping Association of Australia (CPAA) is disappointed with the “Concrete Pumping Code of Practice 2019” in particular the review process managed by QOiR. For example, the lack of industry wide consultation, working committee transparency and disregard for the published Australian Standard AS 2550.15:2019.

In early 2017 when the CPAA discovered QOiR was undertaking the review we attempted to engage, in particular to join the Working Committee responsible for the CoP review and share the national work through Standards Australia, only to be excluded. Our exclusion resulted in the 425 concrete pumping related businesses operating within Queensland having no input or voice.

The Concrete Pumping Association of Australia needs YOUR voice on the extensive changes to the CoP in relation to concrete pumping.
