Special purpose vehicles (SPVs) up to 40 tonnes can operate under the National Class 1 SPV Notice 2016, where larger SPVs (over 40 tonne) must apply for individual Vehicle Standards’ permits prior to registration.
Peter Dunphy, Executive Director SafeWork NSW recent wrote to the Concrete Pumping Association of Australia (CPAA) to inform our members about changes to the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017 to create an online register that will enable employers and consumers to verify all SafeWork NSW high-risk work licence holders, asbestos and demolition licence holders, and general construction induction training card holders.
Chris Turner, State Inspector with SafeWork NSW updated the Concrete Pumping Association of Australia recently about impending plant item registration changes with effect from the 1 January 2018. SafeWork NSW invited to CPAA to advise its members of these impending changes.
