National Heavy Vehicle Regulator

All State Heavy Vehicle Laws are now under one roof thanks to The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). The NHVR looks after a single rule-book for heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass, making it easier for concrete pumps and special-purpose vehicles to operate under a new National Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicle Notice.

WorkSafe WA Issues Safety Alert

After a recent accident that involved a pumper’s legs being caught in a hopper between the agitators, WorkSafe WA issued a safety alert to builders and pumpers. The alert urges construction workers to be aware of the need to manage risks if they operate or contract the operation of a concrete pump on a construction site.

Panorama Tower - Longest concrete pour in America

The 252 metre tower is set to be the tallest skyscarper on the East Coast of USA located outside NYC. The project is due for completion in 2017. The buildings foundation was completed with a huge concrete pumping operation which lasted 23 hours, utilised more than 170 trucks and used more than 11,200 cubic metres of ready-mix concrete.
